Poll Greeter & Poll Watcher Signup - Collin County Democrats

Thank you to everyone who has stepped up to help make sure we have fully staffed polling places for the most important election of our lives! We have heard from a sufficient number of people for all of the paid election worker positions (judge, alternate judge, and clerk) for the November 2020 election.

We are still in need of Poll Watchers and Poll Greeters, which are unpaid but very important positions. Please complete this form if you are interested in helping out.

Poll Watcher
A Poll Watcher is an unpaid person appointed to observe the conduct of a polling place, the ballot board, or the post-election canvass on behalf of the Collin County Democratic Party or one of our candidates to ensure that every single voter is given the opportunity to vote. Qualifications: You must be a registered voter within Collin County. Poll Watchers may set their own hours based on the rules set forth in the Texas Secretary of State Poll Watcher’s Guide.

Poll Greeter
A Poll Greeter is an unpaid person who greets every voter arriving at a polling location, to determine which voters are voting for Joe Biden, then hands them a slate card asking them to vote for every Democrat so that voters know who all our downballot Democrats are. Poll Greeters remain outside of the polling place.
